A TODDLER was rescued from the Leeds-Liverpool canal by his father, and revived by a passer-by.

Twenty-one-month-old Omar Zaman fell into the canal while playing in Hargreaves Street, Nelson.

He had been in the water several minutes before his dad, Mohammed Zaman, jumped in and grabbed him. Tyre depot manager Gary Hobman revived him by pressing his chest.
