PHIL Walker is one of the country's hardest working young comedians, having clocked up 100,000 miles last year in pursuit of his craft. He is also one of the funniest.
With a style as many miles apart from his more famous dad Roy, the young Walker put his reputation on the line with his Monday evening show at the Horshoe Bar.
It was hoteliers' night - traditionally one of the toughest nights of the season for comedians. And Phil handled it with a panache and style that is strictly his own.
Just back from the Falklands, Phil won their applause without a shot being fired!
That's if you don't count the laughter grenades being lobbed out by supporting act Bavarian Stompers.
Setting up just in the right mood, in fact, for Phil to cash in with his zany Muppets-style take-off of the Queen and Prince Charles.
It's an act that is as original as it is funny and Phil Walker fans will be looking for more.
