WITH interest I read the article Bible Query (LET, June 18) by Alan S Hindle. He quotes in my bible reading I have come across Matthew, chapter 21, verse 31. After careful study he says I can only see one possible meaning?

As a born again Christian, I believe the answer is in Matthew, Chapter 21, verse 32, 'For John (the Baptist) came to you to show you the way of righteousness and you did not believe him, but the tax collectors and the prostitutes did and even after you saw this, you did not repent.'

Read St John, chapter three, verse 16. 'For God so loved the word that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believeth in him, should not perish, but have everlasting life."
