TRADE unionists are to stage a demonstration outside a Blackburn factory in protest at the sacking of a union member.

Nigel Cook claims he lost his job at M&S Packaging in May after attempting to recruit members for the Transport and General Workers Union.

More than 30 trade unionists from around Lancashire will be calling for reinstatement at the picket at Ribble Business Park tomorrow morning.

They will protest outside PolyGram because they hope its bosses will be forced to put pressure on nearby M&S Packaging which packages compact discs for the multi-national firm.
