LUCKY Lee Adamson had an amazing escape when his car plunged 60ft down a sheer drop in Turton.
Lee, aged 17, managed to clamber out of his XR2 Ford Fiesta and up the steep embankment in Vale Street, Turton, at 8pm, last night, and suffered nothing more than bruises.
Local residents Sheryl Griffin and Jane Hammond, of Vale Street, came to Lee's rescue and gave first aid before emergency services arrived.
Lee, of Harwood, Bolton, was helped up the precarious embankment by a mystery neighbour who saw the incident as he was walking his dog.
Police say if the car had plunged a further 20 ft it would have landed in a swimming pool.
The former Rivington and Blackrod High School pupil said today: "The car just flipped over as I went round a corner. I was only going about 25 mph."
Lee was taken to Blackburn Royal Infirmary but not detained.
