ROSSENDALE Search and Rescue, which relies of fund-raising to keep its vital work running, has received a donation from North West water.
Brian Jackson, NWW operations manager for Bury and Rossendale, handed over a £200 cheque to the group.
He said the search and rescue volunteers provided a 24-hour, 365 days a year service for the whole of East Lancashire, Rossendale Valley and parts of Greater Manchester and helped people in difficulty on what was sometimes NWW land.
Mr Jackson said: "They helped us out during our 38-mile North West Water Cycle in May, helping to guide cyclists along the route and being on hand to help anyone who got into difficulty.
"The donation is to thank them not only for helping us out on that day but for the work they do all year round.''
