AN INITIATIVE to reduce business traffic on Lancashire's roads could become a model for the rest of the country.
The TravelWise scheme was launched last year by the county council to encourage firms and employees to reduce their dependence on the car.
It offered practical help to use more public transport and encourage car sharing or use of cycling among employees.
The Department of Transport is now researching the impact of the scheme.
