INSTEAD of millions of pounds being spent on a dome for the Millennium, why can't the money be used for a permanent roof for Wimbledon stadium?

A bad summer wouldn't matter then. More tourists would attend.

It would be a permanent fixture, and, during the winter months, could be used for other sporting activities - even more tennis.

Exhibitions could be held there - the possibilities are endless.

This could be much more practical than a large dome.
