DRIVERS blew their horns when they came across an 8ft dinosaur on a school dinner trolley in the middle of the road in Burnley.
The shiny green Tyrannosaurus Rex is the creation of 50 pupils at Healey Wood County Infants School and was on its way from the school down Springfield Road to Hollywood Park, the new multiplex cinema off Manchester Road.
The prehistoric monster is on display to announce the launch of The Lost World, the sequel to Jurassic Park, to be screened in two weeks time.
Every child at the school had a hand in the construction of the dinosaur under the guidance of trainee nursery nurse Adele Kearney.
The children lined up to wave goodbye as their "pet'' was taken away from school.
"They really enjoyed making the dinosaur,'' said head teacher Anne Duke.
