THREE players from Blackburn Rovers were involved with the Republic of Ireland squad, playing holders Argentina in Malaysia today for a place in the final of the World Youth Championships (under-20s).
Damien Duff, David Worrell and Tom Morgan have helped the Irish to the last four of a world tournament for the first time.

The Republic manager Brian Kerr admitted his youngsters had even surprised him by their outstanding progress. Argentina knocked out England.
