Well they only had 100 years so what can we expect from Blackburn, sorry, I mean Blackburn with DARWEN Borough Council.
They even had a practice fiasco some months earlier and still couldn't get anything right on the day of the centenary celebrations
After making the daunting trek up to Darwen Tower I saw people rewarded for their efforts by getting knocked over and trampled on in what can only be described as a near rugby scrum in the rush to gain their centenary certificates.
And for the elderly who managed to make it to the top - they had no chance among the mayhem. The day was a complete disgrace due to the terrible lack of organisation.
