ENFIELD'S Shane Lee is looking forward to turning his team's fortunes around during this weekend's double header - but says his real challenge will come at the end of the season.

The Aussie hotshot, with over 500 runs for Enfield under his belt this season, said: "I'm looking forward to getting back over to New South Wales and playing my heart out.

"It's been my lifelong ambition to get into the Test side - and I'm on form right now. I'm going to play and get noticed."

Back to England though and the more immediate problem of Enfield's league position, Shane is hopeful, but realistic.

He said: "We've got a lot of young players who just need to find their form. This weekend should be a new start for us where we can begin getting some wins together - we can beat Nelson and get some confidence built up for the big one against East Lancs on Sunday (July 6)."

At just 23, Shane has already built up experience playing at local and county level, scoring 1, 300 runs and taking 40 wickets for Somerset last season.

Asked about his time at Somerset, he said: "The intensity of county cricket was a challenge, it kept you on the go all the time, which was good.

"But you come across some really good players in the Lancashire league, which I enjoy, too."
