DAMAGE estimated at £2,000 was caused when a controversial children's care home was put under siege by two stone-throwing youngsters.
Police were called to New Hill Farm, Shawforth, Rossendale, shortly before 6pm last night .
Two children aged 11 and 12 turned up at the home and started throwing stones at the windows.
Eleven double-glazed windows were smashed but no-one was hurt.
Insp Phil Cottam confirmed no-one was arrested and said urther inquiries were being made.'
In May, children at the home, also known as The Meadows, hurled stones at staff to protest, it was claimed, at pressure from neighbours.
The youngsters claimed that photographs had been taken of them to collect evidence against them.
The home is run by Keys Independent Childcare Services Ltd based at Rawtenstall.
No-one was available for comment today.
