LINE dancing steps-up Leigh's super town extravaganza on Saturday when the Library Square becomes a giant, open-air dance floor.

Dancers young and old will bring colour and glitz in an afternoon event that's sure to bring competitors and spectators flocking.

Talented dancers will be competing in a heat of the UK Country and Western Dance Championships brought to town by Wigan Borough Partnership Town Centre Management team and WISH FM.

And if you fancy having some fun take a stride towards national recognition by entering the event from 12.30pm on. All ages and talent levels are welcome, but even if you aren't taking part organsiers are promising a great family afternoon out for those content to watch the fun.

Or take some tips from the Silhouette Dance Club members who will be on hand to offer free tuition and fun dances.

A Country and Western show, cowboy theme stalls, face painting and a children's entertainer add to the attraction.

The event, aimed at raising the town's profile, promises to be an all-singing, all-dancing showstopper.
