WEIGHT-watcher Christine Sanderson is half the woman she used to be after she lost seven stone.
Christine, of Colne Road, Reedley, went on a diet after her weight rose to 238lbs because of medication, overeating and lack of exercise.
Now Christine, 45, can swap clothes with her daughter Hermione, 19, who is a professional model. She can also do more exercise and is no longer afraid to dress up and go out, but there's one drawback - she's spending a small fortune on new clothes!
Christine said: "It took several months for me to pluck up courage to try to do something about my weight. I decided to join a Weight Watchers meeting in Nelson. I felt very nervous until I met Wendy the leader and she explained everything and told me not to worry."
Christine soon made new friends and always looked forward to weekly meetings. With encouragement from fellow dieters and her husband, Derrick, she was soon exercising regularly.
"My health has improved so much that I now swim every day, which is beneficial to my asthma and arthritis," she said.
"I have much more confidence and I love to dress up and go out, something I never did before because I never had anything to wear and was ashamed of my size.
"If can do it anyone can."
