MOVING tributes to football fan Adrian Marshall have been placed at the road junction where he received fatal injuries.
Adrian, 39, of Mancknols Street, Colne, was a pillion passenger on his brother Andrew's motorbike travelling home from work on June 24 when it was in collision with a VW Golf at the junction of Skipton Road and Castle Road.
Adrian was a keen Burnley fan and regularly attended home and away matches.
The sign for Castle Road has been festooned with Burnley scarves and flowers. One tribute is written on a Burnley FC mini strip for a car. It says: "Goodbye old friend. We'll never forget Jimmys and grasshoppers and clarets etc."
Another card says: "Thank you for looking after all the apprentices including me. Rest in Peace."
Adrian died in Burnley General Hospital. Andrew, 34, escaped with a slight leg injury.
The brothers worked at Weston Electrical Units, Foulridge, and regularly rode to and from work together.
An inquest has been opened and adjourned.
