YOUR newspaper is prominent in addressing 'green' issues. However, the most important aspect of this should be to encourage the sale of organic foods.
Farmers should be encouraged, perhaps be forced, to convert to organic farming.
There are, of course, some organic foods available, the bulk of which appear to come from abroad.
There are some supermarkets which carry small stocks of organic food, but not nearly sufficient.
When people are ill from various pesticide-induced conditions, it is of little use to have a 'green' and pleasant land.
