TEENAGERS made good use of their summer holidays getting to grips with clearing paths and making a bridge at Burnley's Towneley Park.
Members of Burnley Youth Green Action aged from 13 to 16 worked on the Deer Pond in the park to improve facilities for wildlife and people.
Kim Coverdale, of Lancashire Wildlife Trust, said: "The work young people do makes a real difference to the environment of Burnley, helps wildlife and teaches the next generation about green issues too."
There will be activities every Monday throughout the summer holidays and a leaflet detailing the projects is available from Carrie Poskitt at the British Trust for Conservation Volunteers on 01282 425011 ext 2369.
Burnley Youth Green Action is jointly run by BTCV and Lancashire Wildlife Trust and together the two organisations make up Burnley Wildlife Partnership.
