CHANCELLOR Gordon Brown is the 'Shane Warne' of politics, accounting to a leading local accountant.
Jeremy Stirrup of PM&M warned that the 'spin' the chancellor had used in his budget calculations would cripple industry and hit future generations of pensioners.
"In cricket, spin is applied to confuse and deceive and that is precisely what has happened here," said Mr Stirrup.
"Nothing has been done to stem the upward pressure on the pound or curtail the present surge in consumer spending.
"This leaves the Bank of England to face a googly and in due course the umpire's decision on the first Labour budget may well be to condemn it!"
