The people of Morecambe have buried their heads in the sand for too long now and it is now time to stop the rot. Nobody, including John Burrows, is not entitled to redundancy pay if they have done any wrong - however I believe in this case nobody has. I believe Mr Burrows to be a thoroughly respectable, efficient man who was unwilling to be a part of the council's questionable management. Cast your mind back to the Blobby fiasco and the moving of the market (which was unwanted by the public and traders alike and which hit our pockets shamefully) surely evidence that Morecambe is being mismanaged? I have sent all the articles to Tony Blair and demanded an end to this secrecy. Residents should show their disgust by withholding payments of their rates until we have removed the councillors who are wasting our money.

Hestham Crescent,
