Preston's ambassadors returned from Poland this week after attending the Twin Cities Festival in Kalisz.
Mayor Dick Evans went with fellow councillors Pat Whittle and Jean Al-Serraj, as well as drama students from Preston College and youngsters from Brookfield.
Councillor Evans said: "The highlight of the trip was when the students performed the History of Preston in mime - with two commentaries, one in English and one in Polish."
He said delegates from the seven countries attending the festival congratulated him on it. "It was marvellous," he said. "They made me proud to be British. The Poles are very friendly people."
Anyone who wants to see the display can watch it in Preston Flag Market this Saturday (July 12) at around 1pm.
