TWO local police officers were among 23 commended by Chief Constable of Merseyside, James Sharples at a ceremony in Liverpool on Monday, July 7.
Inspector John A. Sayers of St Helens & Knowsley Traffic Group has been commended for endeavour, resourcefulness and commitment displayed while researching and developing an innovative strategy to combat drink driving - its subsequent success has received national recognition.
And Chief Inspector Paul Donnelly of the Knowsley South Area has been commended for drive, determination, commitment and support to a multi-agency scheme to remove drug dealers from a community, thereby creating a safer environment.
