YOUNG musicians hit the high note when they took part in a masterclass at the Ribchester Music Festival with top cellist Lowri Blake.
Lowri, one of the star attractions at the festival, held the workshop for budding cellists at St Wilfrid's Church, Ribchester.

The masterclass attracted young musicians from as far afield as York, as well as a bumper audience.
Lowri later took to the stage with bass player Peter Buckoke in a sell-out concert featuring works by Cole Porter, Wagner, Bizet and Gershwin.
This festival, now in its's fifth year, ends tonightwith a gala concert at St Wilfrid's featuring the Goldberg Chamber Orchestra and international violinist Lydia Mordkovitch
