A NURSERY is appealing for the public's help in raising cash to buy equipment for disabled children.
Beehive Nursery in Blackburn is run by Kids Unlimited which wants each of their nurseries nationwide to raise £500 for the charity Whizz Kidz.
The company hopes to raise £25,000 for the charity which provides mobility aids for disabled children.
Senior nursery nurse Zenobia Isherwood from Beehive Nursery, a childcare service for staff at H. M. Customs and Excise, Blackburn, said: "We hope to give the children the independence they really want."
Beehive Nursery has already targeted 50 businesses in Blackburn and Darwen appealing for help and would like local people to organise fund-raising events or donate cash or raffle prizes.
Anyone who can help should call Zenobia on 01254 699608.
