COLIN HENDRY has had minor surgery to remove a small piece of floating bone from his ankle.
The Rovers central defender returned home to England from the club's Scandinavian tour on Sunday night because of concerns about the pain he was getting from a troublesome ankle injury.
He saw a specialist almost immediately and action has been taken to solve the problem.
He is not expected to be out too long and will hopefully be able to rejoin the rest of the squad before pre-season training is completed.
But it will set him back as far as getting to full fitness is concerned.
