HAYDOCK produced a fine display at Croston to keep up their title challenge in their first season in the Southport League. It was another great day for Aussie import Adrian Barr who smashed the Croston attack to all parts of the ground for a magnificent 100 not out. He was well supported by Scott Pickavance (28) and veteran Derek Gibson with 32 no allowing skipper Dave Cross to declare at 223-4. When Croston went out to bat Aussie Barr again produced a hostile spell taking 6-38. Seventeen-year-old Martin Clark again showed his class with 4-44 and after a brilliant all round fielding performance Croston stumbled to 112 all out.
