CITIZEN readers could help solve a family mystery which spans across the Atlantic.
The photograph above was taken in Darwen and dates back to about 1956.
It shows the distant relatives of American woman Charlene Roy, from Massachusetts, who contacted the Citizen by e-mail to appeal for information about them.
Following our article, Darwen man Albert Miller, 62, of Lightbown Cottages, Sunnyhurst, realised his and Charlene's families were connected.
But although Charlene knows the women in the bottom left of the picture is her grandmother, Emma Joseph (nee Miller), aged 63 at the time, she wants Citizen readers' help to identify the other people.
They could be members of the Joseph or Miller families, some of which may have lived in Tockholes and Darwen.
If you can help in Charlene's search, contact the Citizen Newsdesk on 01254 671241.
