SUPER transplant athlete Malvern Dyer is all set to jet out to Australia to go for a hat-trick of gold medals.
At the end of September sporty Malvern, who lives with his wife and 18-year-old daughter in Fulwood, Preston, will take part in the international transplant games for the third time. On two previous occasions plucky Malvern, who had a transplant after suffering kidney failure in 1990, has come home with eight medals in events ranging from 100m to throwing competitions.
Malvern, who works at Ashworth's Foods in Preston, said: "It's important to have a positive mental attitude. The more determined you are about your future, the more likely the outcome will be a good one."
