CLASSIC car and bike enthusiasts from all over the country will be rolling into Lancashire this weekend for the county's biggest classic motor show.
The 6th Lancashire Classic Event, incorporating Bike and Rider Day and Northern Rover Day, will be held at Houghton Tower near Preston on Sunday - and the star of the show will be from Blackburn.
Graham Fletcher, of St Martin's Drive, Feniscowles, won best in show with his Ford Model T last year. He brought the car over from Alabama in 1992, where the previous owner had been using it to drive to work every day. He said: "It took me three years to restore it. It's unusual because it is a three door - there's no door on the driver's side as it was illegal for the driver to get out into the road."
Graham's taking the car again this year, and hopes to do well.
Five hundred and fifty classic cars, ranging from early classics to 70s saloons, and taking in military, custom and kit vehicles will be on display at the event. Classic motorbikes from BSAs to Velocettes will be on show for those who prefer thrills of the two-wheeled variety.
The event runs from 10am to 5pm. Entry is £4 for adults, £2 for OAPs and £1 for children, with half price admission after 3.30.
