A DISC-JOCKEY today revealed how he was looking forward to providing musical entertainment - on a motorway.

Chris Knagg and his AC Roadshow crew have given up their day of rest to appear at the Motorway Superwalk '97 on Sunday August 31.

The event will see thousands of walkers trek along the new seven-mile stretch of the M65 to raise piles of cash for the SuperScan appeal.

A host of entertainment will be dotted along the route including mobile disco and karaoke entertainers AC Roadshow.

Chris said: "We are used to appearing at all sorts of events both indoor and out but we have never done a gig on a motorway.

"We have gigged in barns, fields, marquees, on the back of wagons and on the car deck of the Isle of Man ferry but never on a motorway. It will be a first for us."

The roadshow will be belting out all types of music from the 1950s to contemporary chart discs to suit all tastes.

Companies and individuals are being urged to get their entries in quickly for the Superwalk.
