IF you have views on community care services in Pendle, Lancashire County Council is inviting you to speak up.
The council has just published its plans for community care in the borough for 1997-8 and any comments received before August 20 will be taken into account before further proposals are drawn up.
There are plans for all services, including those for the elderly, disabled, carers and people who work in community care as well as health services.
The voluntary sector, the health authority, councils and private-sector care providers are all affected and have been involved in drawing up the plans.
To comment now, write to Mr John Rutherford, District Purchasing Manager, Social Services Department, 2a Market Place, Colne; or Harry Jones, Deputy District Purchasing Manager, Social Services Department, 7/11 Carr Road, Nelson.
An open meeting to discuss the Pendle Community Care Plan will be held at St John's Methodist Church, Colne, on Thursday September 25 between 1pm and 3pm.
The Citizens Advice Bureau will be helping voluntary groups throughout autumn and members of the locality planning team will be answering queries from individuals and groups.
