A 22-YEAR-OLD student needed hospital treatment after a "road rage" attack on Saturday evening.
The young man was walking along Ainsworth Road in Radcliffe shortly before midnight when his rucksack accidentally brushed against a white Mercedes convertible which was parked partly on the pavement close to the Jubilee Chip Shop.
The driver got out of the car and hit the student on the elbow with a metal car-lock.
He then got back into the car and drove off, with his victim later needing treatment to his arm at Bury General Hospital.
