COLLEAGUES and constituents are wishing St Helens South MP, Gerry Bermingham, a speedy recovery after he suffered a heart attack on Wednesday, July 9.
The 56-year-old MP (pictured) is now out of danger and has left the Royal Free Hospital in London. Following his discharge from hospital, Gerry said: "After receiving superb treatment I now expect to make a full recovery and be back at work for my constituents in the near future."
Until further notice, his agent John Ireland and his wife Pat, will handle all his surgery work throughout July.
Because of holidays, surgeries in August may have to be cancelled and are expected to resume on Saturday, September 13, at St Helens Town Hall. John and Pat's home address is 58 Birchfield Street, Thatto Heath, St Helens, WA9 5QB for any correspondence, or telephone (01744) 631398.
