MARK Schofield accomplished the coveted double at the Lancashire Tennis Championships in South Ribble.
The 23-year-old Blackburn Northern star won his third men's singles title with a straight sets win over Brendan Maguire.
He then went on to retain his doubles title.
A former national junior champion - defeating present British number one Tim Henman along the way - Schofield is a professional coach at the Ribble Valley Tennis Centre and Blackburn Northern. He also coaches the Wolstenholme Rink tennis squad.
Former Rink squad player Gail Atherton steamrolled Rachel Anders in straight sets as well to lift the Lancashire ladies crown before also collecting the doubles title.
Gail is now an LTA National Rover squad player.
Both players are involved in County Cup action next week, Schofield at Southsea and Atherton at Cromer.
