A BIG thank-you has gone out to parents, staff and sponsors who turned a charity soccer match into a roaring success.
The match between parents and staff at Beardwood School, Blackburn, raised £1,109 for the East Lancashire SuperScan appeal and earned a Gold Award for the school.
Headteacher Roger Eckton and the school's community officer Nazmun Usman praised the involvement of governor Mohammad Anayat and Alan Child who was acting headteacher at the time.
