ABOUT your "Schools on Risk List" article (LET, July 15), while I was attending my son's sports day at Shadsworth Junior School, Blackburn, three young hooligans invaded the school playing fields, shouting abuse and threatening the youngsters with large sticks.
Now, I find another incident has happened in which children were threatened and a knife was brandished.
Is there a tragedy waiting to happen?
Why does this school have no perimeter fence and yet sits on open fields?
Is Shadsworth Junior School always going to be at the bottom of the list for security improvements?
MISS TINA HALE, Rothesay Road, Blackburn.
