A SCHEME to build a country house hotel in Belmont is likely to win the backing of councillors.
Developers Gordon Moon Properties want to build a 28 bedroom hotel on vacant land close to the village.
And planning chiefs at Blackburn with Darwen Council are urging members of the planing committee to approve the plans when they meet on Thursday.
The Bolton-based firm already has outline planning permission to develop the site and the buildings have been designed to match other properties in the area.
The property company has also promised to mask the new building with a screen of shrubbery and trees.
