CRANE hire giant GWS is boosting its 500-strong fleet with the purchase of four new cranes.
The new order follows on the heels of last year's £20 million investment in 40 new cranes and involves buying two 90-tonne, one 160-tonne and one 225-tonne cranes.
GWS, which has a branch in Heys Lane, Great Harwood, is buying the cranes from German manufacturer Liebherr.
"This latest order is part of our investment into new cranes and further purchases are imminent," said managing director Andrew Makepeace.
With 22 depots across the UK and a workforce of 700, GWS is the UK's largest crane hire company and is part of Rentokil International.
