TOUCHING prayers written by young parishioners prove that student hostage Paul Wells has not been forgotten.
Youngsters living in the Feniscowles area were urged to put pen to paper by the Rev John Cree, of Immanuel Parish Church.
The prayers, many of them illustrated, show how the fate of Paul has captured the imaginations of children aged as young as five.
Paul, 26, of Bracken Close, Feniscowles, was captured by Kashmiri separatist militants in July 1995.
It is not known what happened to Paul and three other Westerners held with him.
Over the next few days the Lancashire Evening Telegraph in the coming weeks we will print some of the prayers, starting with the one written by Lauren Halliwell, aged 5, today.
Her prayer reads:
A prayer for Paul Wells:
I hope and pray that God will guide you safely to your family. Amen.
