A GROUP of Preston drama students have taken to the stage for the sake of international relations.
Twelve performing arts students from Preston College have just returned from a successful visit to Preston's Polish twin town, Kalisz.
They were chosen to represent the town at a gathering of all Kalisz's twin towns and gave a musical show based on the history of Preston from early times to the modern day - with narration in English and Polish.
Preston Mayor Dick Evans was so impressed by the performances that he invited the students to a civic reception at the Town Hall on Friday July 11.
Lecturer Debbie Henfield said: "The students worked really hard on this performance and thanks to this the show was a big success."
And memories of Polish hospitality were not all that the students brought back with them. Since their return a group of Polish students have been guests of the college and have sampled the delights of the Lake District and the Albert Dock in Liverpool.
