BLACKBURN Hawks are on the lookout for a new name and need your help!
The side with the countywide appeal are asking fans to help them come up with a new name to reflect their growing support.
Nicola Lindsay, Blackburn Arena's new marketing manager, said: "Blackburn Hawks are the sole representatives for ice hockey in Lancashire. We aim to reflect that in our new name and help spread the work across the county."
She added: "The name doesn't have to be slick, or witty, or even all that inventive - it simply has to illustrate our commitment to the region."
The winner will receive a specially-printed ice hockey shirt featuring their brand new name at a Hawks home match early next season.
Entries should be sent to Nicola Lindsay, Blackburn Arena, Lower Audley, Waterside, Blackburn, BB1 1BB. Closing date is Friday, August 1.
