A SUPER swim from Heather Frederiksen was the highlight of her trip to the the Borough of Enfield Open Meet.

But, despite slashing 23 seconds off her PB, the Atherton SC star had to settle for eighth place in the open 800 freestyle.

In the 12-Year 100 backstroke she hit fifth and rounded off her weekend with a fine swim in the open 400 freestyle.

Meanwhile, Atherton finished third in the semi final of the Bolton & District Inter-Club Mini Gala at Horwich.

Final scores: Bolton 126, Wigan 104, Atherton 97, Swinton 80, Warrington 34.

Atherton now move on to the B Final at Horwich Pool on September 28.
