POLICE are closing the net on a pervert who has made "dirty" phone calls to a number of young boys, some of them in Bury.
The man has contacted more than 76 youngsters in a three-year reign of terror.
Claiming to be the boys' headmaster, the man tells them they have been naughty and must report to his office to be "slippered" or "thrashed".
He orders the boys to call him "sir" before making degrading suggestions. So far the man has made no attempt to follow up his calls with personal contact.
But police say that calls are becoming increasingly disgusting and cause great distress to the boys and their parents. Officers have teamed up with BT and are using the very latest technology to put an end to the calls.
