PUPILS at Ivy Bank High School in Burnley used their initiative to produce their own versions of a corporate brochure for the town.
The venture was part of their business studies activities for technology, and their ideas were so good they impressed the professionals.
Their work is currently on show at Burnley's Economic Development Unit at 24 Nicholas Street and will be there until the end of the month.
Student teacher Chris Tattersall asked pupils aged between 11 and 13 to produce a prospectus to attract new business to the town. He was born and bred in Burnley and is currently studying at Huddersfield University.
The director of Initiative Burnley, Andrew Heyworth, was one of the first to be impressed with the boys' ideas.
He said: "I knew the economic development unit were in the process of putting together a new promotional campaign to encourage inward investment and considered this a great opportunity to get this input of ideas from the generation that will be depending on the success of the EDU's campaign to bring in more investment and employment opportunities to Burnley.
"Ivy Bank High School has an excellent record for winning the support and involvement of local businesses."
