Not only is this council wasting ratepayers' money it is doubly damaging the residents of Morecambe. They seem to be able to cough up thousands for things that are no use to anyone - the town clerk fiasco, their allowances and now they've lost nearly £20,000 because they couldn't fix a shower - all this is presumably putting other plans at risk because of lack of funds. Why should the ratepayers miss out on things they want because the council is pursuing things it wants to do. The only thing we've kicked up a fuss about in the past few years is Altham Road Meadow issue and can we have our only green space...? can we 'eck! We need that space but not according to the demigods at the town hall. By the way Mr Henig your proposed allowance increase is more than my pension - think on that!
Mrs M Davison, Westgate.
