DISGRUNTLED of Morecambe complains of roads being filthy and weed ridden. Well weeds do grow at this time of year, even in roads. No matter how often the council spray them with weedkiller and sweep the streets they will be filthy if people continue to drop litter and do not clean up after their dogs. He claims the A6 at Bolton-le-Sands is a disgrace. I drive and cycle along it regularly. What is the problem? The section of the A6 between Bolton-le-Sands and Carnforth is so narrow cars and lorries have difficulty overtaking me when I am cycling. Perhaps "disgruntled" will pay to have the tour path upgraded to a cycle way.
There is a pedestrian crossing where Hest Bank station used to be and there has been for a long time.
While some criticism can be levelled at Lancaster Council we should not be condemning the good and excellent services it does provide.
