PETER Hadden brings the house down when he performs his gurning act in Waterfoot pubs.
Now regulars are urging him to take part in the world gurning championship at Cumbria in September.
Peter, 35, who lives in Waterfoot, said: "People have told me that my gurning is very funny and they think I should have a go at the world title.
"If I can get enough support, I will have a crack at it."
The championship carries big cash prizes but competition will be fierce, with entries from all over the world converging on Cumbria.
Peter, an amiable local character, is a regular at the Railway Inn and the Duke of Buccleuch pubs in Waterfoot centre.
