A CHAMPION ice dancer has skated to double success in a top event.
It was third time lucky for Nicole Hegarty, 11, who picked up two trophies in a national tournament which took place over five days in Hull.
This was her third try at the Hull contest after finishing third in the two previous years.
Nicole has been skating for around three years, trains up to 18 hours a week, and has won many competitions with her dance partner and as a solo skater.
"Nicole was sad to lose her partner, but she is looking for someone else to skate with" said her mother Tina.
The youngster, Blackburn, has just left Holy Souls school and will be going to Our Lady and St John's High School in September.
She is also on the lookout for sponsors for her skating career.
