YOUNGSTERS had a super time clowning around learning big top skills at a circus workshop.
Children tested their balance on unicycles and stilts, juggled clubs and twirled plates at Accrington Town Hall, helped along by instructor Clive Sensible.
He runs the Circus Sensible - the smallest tented circus - which puts on shows and holds workshops around Britain.
The event was organised as part of the Hyndburn Leisure Summer Fun '97 programme of activities.
After the town hall, there were further sessions of the circus course at Mercer House, Clayton-le-Moors, and Churchfield House, Great Harwood. Children who would like to take part can catch the workshop again on August 27 at Elmfield Hall, Church, Belthorn Barn, Belthorn, and Oswaldtwistle Civic Theatre.
Details of all the events during the summer holidays are available by contacting Accrington Information Centre on 01254 380293.
