SOME of the finest classic cars around are gearing up for a top tour.
Clitheroe and District Motor Club hosts its annual rally on August 16 and non-members are invited to take part.
The 120-mile "gentle tour" sets off at 10am from Clitheroe Castle, taking in a couple of historic homes and finishing at the Red Pump, Bashall Eaves, for supper.
Organiser Ronald Townson said: "We hope to attract some of the finest post-war cars in private hands and their owners for a pleasant day out and the chance to show off their pride and joy.
"Some simple navigation will be involved, but nothing that anyone able to open and close an ordnance survey map cannot achieve."
Clitheroe and District Motor Club meets on the first and third Tuesday of the month at Waddington social club and new members are welcome.
